Get to Know Aamir: Our New Operations Manager at Marsh Finance

We’re excited to welcome Aamir Zulfi to the Marsh Finance management team as our new Operations Manager! With a strong background in financial services, fintech, and transformation, Aamir brings a wealth of experience and a passion for improving customer journeys through innovation and automation. Beyond his professional expertise, Aamir is a dedicated coach, sports enthusiast, and self-proclaimed foodie. In this blog, we sat down with Aamir to learn more about his career, interests, and what he’s most looking forward to as he steps into this pivotal role at Marsh.

What's Your Background?

Well, I've been around the block in the financial services world, mainly dealing with collections in various corporate environments. For the last eight or nine years, I've been in the fintech and transformation space. My roles have always been about enhancing customer experiences, making sure they get top-notch service and can manage their needs more independently through efficient and automated solutions. Recently, I've been involved in rolling out some advanced AI tools that help folks sort out their issues through webchat.

What Are You Looking Forward to Most at Marsh Finance?

I'm really excited to work with the team here. I think my background in transformation and tech can really add some spice to what we're doing. I’m also keen on building up our teams across the three functional areas I’m managing. I want to focus on automation, refining our processes, and boosting the skills within our teams. The goal? High-performing teams that smash our targets and deliver even better results.

What Do You Like to Do Outside of Work?

I’m a huge sports fan… football, to be precise. I play as much as I can, and when I’m not playing, I’m coaching a men’s football team. We had a killer season last year with a cup victory, and I’m aiming to keep that winning streak going. Besides sports, I love travelling and exploring new places to eat. I’ve been to some fantastic spots like Greece, Italy, the US, Turkey, and the Middle East. Always looking for the next adventure!

What’s Your Favourite Food?

I've got a serious love for Italian food. I sometimes joke that I must have been Italian in another life. But there's nothing like a fresh Greek salad when I'm relaxing on a beach in Greece. Honestly, I’m just a big foodie at heart.

What’s Your Biggest Fear?

Snakes, hands down. They just give me the heebie-jeebies. Can't stand them!

If You Could Have Dinner With Any Three People, Dead or Alive, Who Would They Be?

That's a tough one, but here goes: Jurgen Klopp because I'm a massive Liverpool fan, and he’s just a phenomenal leader. Robert DeNiro, because he’s a legend in the film industry, and I'd love to hear about his experiences. And Steve Jobs, because I'm obsessed with technology and innovation. He was a genius in overcoming challenges and pushing the envelope in tech.
