What is your career background?

I have Over a decade experience of working in the hospitality & leisure sector, where I was a waiter, barista, barman and to then supervisory roles within that. I have worked as a PPI payments team leader, a Customer service manager at a Claims management company and finally just over 4 years working in the financial sector, specifically debt collection, which gave me a great knowledge of unsecured/secured lending and everyday banking.

What do you like most about working at Marsh Finance?

Prior to starting at Marsh Finance Ltd, I was experiencing a lack of confidence and anxiety from a previous role that I was in. Marsh Finance Ltd has given me so much more self-esteem and made me feel more confident within myself that I am able to be successful at what I do. The best thing about Marsh Finance is the amazing colleagues. We all support and respect each other.

As a side note, the work parties are great too!

What does a typical day look like?

So, within my day, I work on agreements that are in the default and termination stage; this could be a result of arrears or the account is in other breaches. I speak to customers who are either vulnerable or susceptible to a vulnerability, and use an empathetic approach to treat them fairly. I set forbearance arrangements, take payments, discuss vehicle options, signpost, send letters and other communication means. I work closely with the legal and recoveries manager who delegates tasks for me to complete within my day.

What do you like to do outside of work?

So, over the last month, I have endured putting myself through torture to improve my physical health by going to the Gym. I try to do 4 nights a week now. I do like to chill most evenings watching a film or a series, but I do enjoy the odd night out.

What is your favourite food?

This contradicts the above of trying to be physically active, but I love Pizza, Chips and Kebabs ... all three after a night out.

What was your first car?

I never had a car, but I'm a great passenger!

What is your favourite car of all time?

If it's purple and shiny, then it will be my favourite car… but one would not say no to a Lamborghini.

If you were to have dinner with 3 people, dead or alive – who would they be? And why?

These are all alive and three of the most amazing, caring, supportive women in my life and to have dinner with all three of them together would be just incredible! First of will by Mum because I’m an absolute Mummy’s boys, and we’re like best friends. The other two will be Jen and Vick, as not only my colleagues but wonderful friends too. Jen, Vick and I have worked in three different companies together and are known as “The 3 Musketeers”.
